This is the current version of our Privacy Policy, effective August 10, 2026. It may be updated as rigana grows, and it does not replace any signed agreement between rigana and your organization.
rigana is an enterprise product used by organizations under an agreement with their administrator. If you use rigana through your employer, your organization controls your account and the financial data it uploads. This policy describes our practices as the provider of the service.
1. Who we are
rigana is provided by Rigana Technologies, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. In this policy, "rigana", "we", and "us" refer to Rigana Technologies as the provider of the service. This policy covers data we handle through our website at rigana.ai and through the application.
2. What we collect
- Account data. Your name, work email, company, and role. These are usually provided by you or by your organization's administrator when you are invited.
- Content you upload. The financial and operational files you bring into rigana, and the figures derived from them, stored so the service can answer your questions and produce reports.
- Usage and technical data. Logs, audit events, and basic device and browser information, used to keep the service secure and reliable.
- Demo and contact requests. The name, email, company, and message you send through our request forms.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and secure the service, to compute the answers and reports you request, to support you, and to improve reliability. Every figure rigana reports is computed from the data your organization provides and is traceable to its source.
4. AI and your data
rigana uses a third-party AI model to interpret your questions and turn them into queries. The underlying numbers are computed from your own data, not generated by the model. We use your data to provide the service to you; we do not sell it, and we do not use one organization's data to answer another organization's questions. AI requests go to the provider on your organisation's own key, under your agreement with that provider; rigana does not sell your data or use it to train models. Outputs can still contain errors, so verify them before relying on them.
5. Sub-processors
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the service, including an AI provider for language understanding, a cloud platform for hosting and databases, and an email provider for transactional messages such as invitations. Each is bound by its own contractual and security obligations. We can provide a current list of sub-processors on request.
6. Storage and security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored on managed cloud infrastructure that encrypts data at rest. Access is controlled, tenant data is kept isolated by design, and significant actions are recorded in an audit log. We continue to strengthen our security posture as the product matures.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterward to meet operational, legal, and contractual needs, after which we delete or anonymize it. On termination you have a window to export your data before deletion. Your agreement with us may set specific retention terms.
8. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. If you use rigana through your organization, we may direct certain requests to your administrator. To make a request, contact hello@rigana.ai. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Data location and transfers
We host your data on managed infrastructure and may process it in the regions where our providers operate. Where data crosses borders, we take steps consistent with applicable law.
10. Children
rigana is a business product and is not directed to, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. It is not for consumer use.
11. Changes
We will post updates to this policy on this page and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
